Hi everyone! Recently, I saw the news about Manchester United's almost invisible new signing finally making a comeback to the field. He's none other than Mason Mount, who transferred from Chelsea to Manchester United. After 5 months, seeing the news of his comeback again, to be honest, I don't know if I should be happy or not, so I wanted to write an article about it.

Actually, when the news of Mount's transfer to Manchester United first came out, I was resistant to it because Mount, along with another Chelsea player Havertz, were dubbed as Chelsea's "double disasters". Havertz had already transferred to Arsenal, and later Mount also transferred to Manchester United for a whopping £55 million. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes for this deal from the beginning. Firstly, Mount only had one year left on his contract with Chelsea, and with his falling out with the club, Manchester United didn't need to spend such a high price to buy a player whose form had been poor throughout the season. It was another typical Manchester United tax transaction. I'm usually a big Manchester United fan, but regarding Mount's transfer, I really couldn't understand why they had to buy Mount.

As expected, Mount's performance this season has been dismal. He's been invisible in all the matches he's played, with no impact. In 8 appearances, he hasn't scored a single goal or provided an assist, and his overall performance on the field has been disappointing. Coach Ten hag hasn't been able to figure out how to utilize Mount's abilities. Moreover, Mount is injury-prone, and until now, he has been out due to injuries most of the time. It's almost like Manchester United has lost track of him, making it one of the worst deals of the season.

Well, I've criticized Mount a lot above, but does that really mean I don't want him to succeed at Manchester United? Actually, no. On the contrary, I really hope Mount can perform like his fellow Chelsea compatriot Havertz did under similar circumstances. Let me tell you about Havertz's situation. Havertz has been the most controversial player of the season, even bigger than Mount's transfer. Everyone, including myself, thought Arsenal was crazy or laundering money when they bought him at such a high price, considering his poor form over the past three seasons. As expected, Havertz's first few games at Arsenal were truly baffling. He missed open goals, his aerial duels were lacking, and his unfamiliarity with his teammates led to counterattacks, making everyone believe Havertz was the worst signing of the season.

However, Arsenal coach Arteta persisted in telling everyone to be patient with Havertz, to give him more love, and he would repay the fans. I remember people even joked that if Arteta continued to give Havertz love, he might not even be able to keep his coaching job. But everyone was proven wrong later. After struggling in 18 games (with just 1 goal), Havertz started to explode. He's now scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in the league, with 4 consecutive goals in the Premier League, including a winning goal against Brentford, showing a solid performance. Almost everyone is now praising Havertz, this once lost genius.

I've spent so much time describing Havertz's situation because I want to tell everyone a simple truth: fans are simple creatures. As long as you perform well, all previous doubts will disappear, and even apologies will be made for doubting you. But it's really difficult for a struggling player to bounce back. How many coaches like Arteta, who knows what they want and can fully support players like Havertz, are there? I can't say for sure whether Ten hag can do it, but since Mount was his choice, I really hope Ten hag knows how to use him.

Fans have always been a group of sincere individuals, and I will definitely continue to support Manchester United and Mount. But people's patience is limited. I hope Ten hag knows how to use Mount's manual. The upcoming fixtures are crucial for the top four race, and I hope Mount can deliver convincing performances after his recovery. Fans don't just want to criticize you for no reason.

Performance is also influenced by luck, teammates, and coaches, among other factors.

Mount didn't disappoint during his time at Chelsea; he performed quite well when initially groomed as the team's crown prince. It was only after a change in ownership that he was eventually abandoned.

We hope Mount will deliver outstanding performances after his recovery from injury. Fans are anticipating a comeback similar to Havertz's. Manchester United's path ahead is full of challenges, but we look forward to luck shining upon them. We will continue to support them.

Strange, I remember Mount not being wasted before. Is it because the injuries were too severe, causing psychological trauma as well?

Hope Mount's arrival at Manchester United can help the club flourish. But it's going to be tough. Let's see what tactics Ten hag has in store.
