Rohit Sharma recently dispelled rumors of his retirement, affirming his readiness to continue playing at the highest level. He expressed his desire to participate in the 50-over World Cup in South Africa in 2027 and the WTC Final at Lord’s in 2025. Despite leading India to an impressive ICC World Cup campaign on home soil last year, where they reached the final after securing 10 consecutive victories, Sharma remains focused on future tournaments.

Reflecting on the loss to Australia in the finals, he acknowledged their opponent's superiority but attributed the defeat to one bad day, emphasizing that India had performed well throughout the tournament. Sharma expressed his ambition to win the 50-over World Cup, especially as it is a significant event for him and his team, having grown up watching it.

Rohit Sharma will lead Team India in the upcoming T20I World Cup. He plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, contributing to their recovery with some crucial performances. However, he's no longer the team captain, as Hardik Pandya has taken over.

Rohit's mental resilience is perhaps his greatest strength. He just doesn't stay down! Let's wait and see how he performs in the T20 World Cup

The upcoming T20 World Cup promises to be intriguing. While we possess a strong team, I have concerns about the fast bowling unit....

I can't comprehend why some shameless individuals are urging him to retire. As long as he continues to perform well, age shouldn't hinder him. However, if his performance declines, it's fair to question.

Rohit might not be aware that Coach Dravid stands as the major barrier to success. Given his outdated strategies, it feels like he's pulling Indian cricket back to the 1990s...

But I feel he's not a reliable T20 player, so it seems we have very little chance of winning the T20 World Cup
