Suryakumar Yadav, who averages just 6 at No. 4, has now been handed a new role at No. 6 by the Indian team management. With the vital No.4 position a bugbear for India in the last ODI world cup, India had hoped that Suryakumar Yadav would own the spot, but since that hasn’t happened, they have changed tack. They hope at No.6 position, Suryakumar can play his attacking T20 style and will be at his best when fewer overs are at his disposal. What do you think about this decision?

I agree with the Indian cricket management team as Suryakumar is one of the best players in India in T20 format, if he bats at no.6 he will play without pressure and give his best in the back end.

If there is anyone other India batter besides Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who has captured the imaginations of fans, it's Suryakumar Yadav. Now he may still be far from his best in ODIs, but when it comes to T20Is, there is not a single crowd-puller quite like him.

Over the last few years, we all know Surya Kumar Yadav has played a big role at no. 4 and scored a huge no. Of runs for their nation and playing a match-winning knock soo many times, and due to 2,3 only bad innings we cannot comprise his spot from no.4 to no.6, I totally disagree with the decision of Surya came at no.6 to play a big role.

Simply, It was a horrendous decision. Ideally SKY should bat at 4 or at Max 5. There is no point in sending SKY at no. 7 which is a finishers role. And most importantly if team management wants this then there must be a clear cut message to Surya firsthand. Moreover, Surya has replaced Shreyas Iyer so ideally Surya should be playing in the position where Iyer plays.
