India’s preparations for the Men’s Asia Cup 2023 have been dealt a severe blow as star batsmen Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are almost ruled out of the tournament. Iyer and Rahul have been updating Indian fans on their progress through social media posts regarding their recovery, although sources from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) indicate that they have not yet entirely recovered. So it's considered a hasty choice to push them back into international competition for the Asia Cup.

I think Bcci is right in saying that without being fit both the players cannot be given a chance to play because this decision will be a problem for India in the World Cup.
