Tilak Varma, the India and Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman, has spoken about his experience of playing under Rohit Sharma's captaincy. He said that he was fortunate to have played under the senior opener, who was his childhood hero. Tilak Varma said that Rohit Sharma made him feel comfortable and confident, and he looked up to him as his role model. He told Sportstar about his journey with Mumbai Indians and India. Tilak Varma also said that his performances for Mumbai Indians paved the way for his India selection. He said that playing for the national team changed his mindset and attitude. The batsman also said that he wanted to play with freedom and consistency. Tilak Varma has represented India in four ODIs and 16 T20Is. The next edition of the IPL will be very important for him as it will boost his chances of making it to the T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
