Many dynastic teams falter because players, being human, lose motivation after reaching their peak and achieving all their goals. This causes their dominance to wane. However, last season's English Premier League champions, Manchester City, not only maintained their strength after winning the treble but also remained competitive in the new season, challenging for titles in multiple competitions. So, what's the secret?

Recently, the esteemed coach Pep Guardiola, who led Manchester City to the treble, discussed the psychological journey towards winning the Champions League. Guardiola admitted that when he first joined Manchester City, winning the Champions League seemed incredibly daunting, and it took several failures to reach his current position. He noted that in the past three years, Manchester City reached the Champions League final twice and the semi-finals once. This made the entire club realize that they could strive to achieve greatness.

Guardiola believes that he and his players have brought the most valuable asset to Manchester City, which is long-lasting. He emphasized that there's nothing more important than this. Post-victory, Guardiola's mindset has become more resilient, believing that in football, there's nothing to lose because they've experienced losses before. The focus is on challenging themselves and their opponents.

Guardiola also expressed pride in his players for not becoming complacent or lazy after winning the treble. Instead, they are hungry to create more history. In the new season, they are diligently training to achieve unprecedented records, such as winning the English Premier League four times in a row and becoming the second team, after Real Madrid, to successfully defend the Champions League title. Guardiola is pleased that his players haven't become complacent.

As bitter rivals from the same city, I must admit that I've been deeply impressed by the achievements of our neighbors in recent years. Even if Manchester City were to decline in the future, their current glory will undoubtedly be remembered. What's terrifying is not knowing how long Pep Guardiola will continue coaching. It feels like as long as he's in charge, other Premier League teams won't stand a chance of winning the title.

For Manchester City right now, the key is De Bruyne staying healthy; otherwise, everything else is irrelevant. With and without De Bruyne, Manchester City is essentially two different teams.

Under Pep Guardiola's leadership, Manchester City Football Club has demonstrated remarkable teamwork and competitiveness. Their success stems not only from tactical superiority but also from the resilience of their mindset and determination. It is believed that this spirit will continue to propel them towards higher goals, injecting more momentum into the club's future development.

Manchester City's squad depth is truly unparalleled in all of Europe. With Pep Guardiola at the helm, they are consistently the favorites to win various competitions, whether it's the Premier League, where they currently trail by only 2 points with a game in hand, or the Champions League, where they hold a commanding lead in the round of 16. As for domestic cup competitions, if Manchester City sets their sights on the trophy, it's theirs for the taking.

Their main challenger in the Premier League remains Liverpool, and their upcoming clash in the 28th round could potentially decide the title race. However, it might be a tough challenge for City as this could be Jurgen Klopp's last season at Liverpool, and the desire to win the Premier League is stronger than ever for them.

Having already secured a three-peat in the league, Manchester City might be feeling a bit fatigued, with their primary focus now on winning the Champions League. Defending the title in Europe's elite competition is no easy feat, but it holds immense allure for them.

Despite challenges from formidable opponents like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who both have their own issues, Manchester City remains the frontrunner for the Champions League crown this season. If they meet in the final, City are likely to emerge victorious.

Overall, I believe Manchester City will successfully defend their Champions League title this season and may even relinquish the Premier League crown to Liverpool.

Manchester City can give opportunities to other teams now; they've already proven themselves and won enough awards.

The ebb and flow of fortune has always been a hallmark of the top five leagues, so I believe there are certainly many teams aiming to dethrone Manchester City and claim the championship.
