NBA officially announced that Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and Luka Dončić of the Dallas Mavericks were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month for February.
The Celtics achieved a record of 9 wins and 1 loss in February. Tatum averaged 27.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. In February, Tatum scored in double digits and contributed in various statistical categories four times, with at least 20 points in nine games and over 30 points three times.
The Dallas Mavericks had a record of 8 wins and 3 losses in February. Luka Dončić averaged 33.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game. In February, Dončić scored at least 40 points in three games and achieved a triple-double twice.
In the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 28, the Mavericks suffered a loss, but Dončić scored 45 points, 9 rebounds, 14 assists, and 3 steals. In the following back-to-back game, the Mavericks defeated the Toronto Raptors with Dončić contributing 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists.

In addition, NBA announced that Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets and Alperen Şengün of the San Antonio Spurs were selected as the Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month for February.
For the coaching awards, Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat and Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors were named the Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month for February. Kerr led the Warriors to an 11-3 record in February, marking his eighth career Coach of the Month honor and the first in franchise history. |
