Weekend overtime? It's simply a tragedy! My heart, which was just yearning for free time, shattered into pieces in an instant!
Thinking about the beautiful life on weekends is like a dream far away. No alarm clock in the morning, waking up slowly without worrying about being late; leisurely enjoying beloved food at lunchtime without rushing; spending the afternoon shopping with friends, watching movies, or simply lying at home reading a book, completely being your own master. But now, all of this has turned into nothingness!
What's worse, you can't refuse overtime. When the boss says jump, you can only ask how high. You can only grit your teeth and cope with it, silently counting the overtime pay in your mind, comforting yourself by saying, "At least I'll be richer this weekend!"
Overtime itself is painful, let alone on your precious day off. You've toiled all week, finally looking forward to the weekend, only to be mercilessly dragged back into the mud of work. The feeling is like climbing to the mountaintop with great effort, only to be dragged into the mud pit. |
