A 70-year-old man named Tapila had never seen the sea in his 70 years of life. To fulfill his dream of seeing the sea, he bravely embarked on an extraordinary journey. Tapila rode his motorcycle across 600 kilometers, completing his first "ocean view" in life! When the elderly man finally arrived at the seaside after a long journey, his reaction was one of happiness. His face lit up with joy, like a child seeing the sea for the first time, and he eagerly ran into the arms of the sea.
While 600 kilometers may not seem far, it was no easy feat for Tapila. It took him a full six days to complete the journey. Starting from March 3rd, he set out from Ubon Ratchathani Province to reach Trat Province, finally arriving at his destination, the coast of Koh Chang Island. Fortunately, along the way, Tapila received help from many strangers, and his motorcycle did not encounter any mechanical issues, allowing him to reach his destination smoothly.
This deeply touching story not only moved many people but also caught the attention of the local tourism bureau. The Trat Province Tourism Authority, upon seeing the video, believed that Tapila's actions would help promote tourism and were highly meaningful. Therefore, they decided to provide him with accommodation in a six-star hotel, sumptuous meals, and a free ferry ticket, allowing him to fully enjoy Koh Chang Island and successfully complete this unforgettable seaside journey. |
