Recently, Liverpool has suffered a series of setbacks, first in the Premier League and Europa League, then internally due to poor performance. Initially, there was a quarrel between Salah and Klopp, and now underperforming Liverpool forward Núñez has been heavily criticized by fans to the point of withdrawing. He has deleted almost all Liverpool-related photos from his social media. Will this Uruguayan forward stay at Liverpool next season?

Since his £85 million transfer to Liverpool in June 2022, Núñez has been heavily criticized. Although his performance this season has improved compared to last season, with 18 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, the Uruguayan forward has repeatedly missed good opportunities, leading to fan backlash. Despite scoring in difficult situations, he fails to convert seemingly easy chances.

The abuse reached its peak during the 4-2 victory against Tottenham. Despite the win, fans remained disappointed with Núñez's performance, blaming him for missed opportunities. Unable to withstand the abuse, Nunez deleted all Liverpool-related photos from his social media except for one post from June 15, 2022, featuring the Liverpool emblem.

What's even more surprising is that when a Liverpool blogger called for more tolerance towards Núñez, he found himself blocked by Núñez instead, leaving him puzzled. Now, some Liverpool fans are worried that Núñez might leave the club. However, the exact developments remain to be seen.

These fans are going crazy, aren't they? When someone finally gets into a good form and starts scoring goals, it's better to support them rather than stir up trouble and undermine their confidence. Then, when they leave, they'll be saying things like "if only they stayed" or "it would have been better if they were still here.

Nunez should receive more support instead of criticism. He needs our support and encouragement to get through this difficult time together!

Actually, blaming a single player for the team's performance isn't fair, the team functions as a unit. These fans are just too crazy, perhaps it's heavily influenced by nationality.

Nunez, this player, neither particularly impressive nor outright poor, still manages to rack up a fair number of goals. However, when the team needs him to step up, he falls short, perhaps a reason why Liverpool fans enjoy criticizing him. Compared to his first season, Nunez's performance this season has been passable. Both Nunez and Liverpool have had disappointing seasons, ending on a sour note as the team and players faltered in the latter half. With consecutive missed championship opportunities, Nunez's performance also left much to be desired, making him a scapegoat for the fans. Nunez recently deleted all photos related to Liverpool, sparking speculation about a potential departure. Despite being somewhat mediocre, Nunez remains a sought-after player in the transfer market due to the scarcity of quality strikers. While he may not be top-tier, he's still young and within a reasonable price range. Perhaps one day, with the right mindset and combined with his good physical attributes, he could become a superstar striker. Currently, Barcelona appears most active in pursuing him, especially as Lewandowski is aging, and Barcelona is in urgent need of a striker to succeed him. I believe Nunez would fare well at Barcelona, considering his fame in the Portuguese league and the similarity in playing styles between La Liga and the Portuguese league. Barcelona's ability to create scoring opportunities is also much stronger than Liverpool's, so perhaps Nunez moving to a new environment could truly see him blossom into a generational striker. While Liverpool appears reluctant to sell, if the player is determined to leave and the price is right, nothing is impossible. If he's unhappy, he should leave, Nunez deserves a better team!

If you can enjoy a lavish feast, you must also endure hardship. But there's also a saying, 'Without experiencing suffering, one cannot advise others to be kind.' So perhaps, after enduring online abuse and emotional distress, Nunez simply couldn't bear it anymore.....

Firstly, Liverpool fans need to understand why Nunes came to Liverpool. When Suarez arrived at Liverpool, his performance was mediocre at the beginning of that season. Liverpool fans are very demanding, and amidst many boos, Suarez managed to overcome it. Later, the team narrowly missed out on the Premier League title. Suarez, in the Uruguay national team, has been particularly supportive of Nunes, constantly sharing various details about Liverpool with him, which has led Nunes to consider joining Liverpool.

As a forward, Nunes has the physique and speed to be a force on the field. However, he still has a lot of room for improvement in the most critical aspect for a forward, scoring ability. Especially since March of this year, he has only scored two goals. Liverpool has gone from being a hot favorite for the title to being out of contention, and Nunes, as the main striker, cannot escape blame.

At this point, Liverpool fans should provide psychological comfort to Nunes. As the new generation and vanguard of Liverpool, Nunes deleting social media posts related to Liverpool is because the questioning from Liverpool fans has made him a bit mentally overwhelmed. Actually, he should give Suarez a call and have a good chat about how to deal with the current situation. I believe Nunes will eventually emerge from this psychological shadow, and I hope his performance on the field will continue to improve!
