Recently, there has been a wave of changes in the coaching staff in the football world, with many clubs seemingly agreeing to change coaches as if they had made a pact. Chelsea, known for frequently changing coaches, is naturally one of them. However, Chelsea's choice of a new coach this time has left people puzzled, as they have opted for a rookie coach, sparking numerous criticisms.

According to a report by the renowned transfer journalist Romano, Chelsea has agreed to appoint Maresca as the new head coach of the team. The two parties have reached an agreement, with a contract term of five years, and Chelsea has also agreed to pay a substantial amount of compensation to Leicester to secure Maresca's services. Who exactly is Maresca that would lead Chelsea to pay such a significant compensation fee to acquire him? Looking at his resume, he turns out to be a rookie who has never coached in any of the top five leagues, prompting many to question the decision.

Maresca has no experience coaching in any of the top five leagues, and his experience in major competitions, especially tough battles, is zero. Compared to Pochettino, who Chelsea just dismissed, Maresca's resume can be described as very basic. So why did Chelsea sign a contract with a rookie coach? The reason is that the Chelsea leadership wants to replicate the success of Arteta at Arsenal.

Artetaa had no coaching experience before coaching Arsenal. It was thanks to Arsenal giving him two years to grow slowly that he now has the strength to challenge for the title. Additionally, Maresca, like Arteta, served as an assistant coach to Guardiola, the former Manchester City manager, before coaching a team. Guardiola's success speaks for itself, so Chelsea believes Maresca can build a stable team capable of contending for the title around their young and talented players, just like Arteta did.

However, many people also believe that every successful case is difficult to replicate. Ultimately, it is normal for Maresca to be questioned as a rookie. Everything will depend on his team's performance next season before conclusions can be drawn.

Whether Maresca is truly a rookie or an undiscovered gem remains to be seen. It would be better to observe his performance in future matches.

Chelsea's performance in the last few rounds was actually quite good. I think it's reasonable to give them another season. If they replace the current coach, who isn't well-known, and the results aren't good next season, will they change again?

Chelsea's decision to sack Pochettino right after the season ended is truly baffling. Ever since Abramovich was forced to relinquish ownership of Chelsea, the club has been in a state of chaos for the past few years. Poor performance, disorganized management, and indiscriminate player purchases have left fans with little hope. While Pochettino may not be an outstanding manager, he is an experienced one, more than capable of handling the current Chelsea squad. The key point is that despite a chaotic and poor first half of the season, Chelsea managed to unite and turn things around by the end of the season, climbing from the lower half of the table to finish sixth. Although they missed out on the Europa League, their late-season surge and string of victories were truly inspiring.

By the end of the season, Chelsea's players and coaching staff were united, showing that a cohesive team can achieve good results. This unity was crucial for a club in turmoil. If they had maintained this momentum, made some roster improvements over the summer, they could have aimed for a top-four finish next season. Unfortunately, Chelsea's management disrupted this promising situation by parting ways with Pochettino. The most likely reason is that Pochettino didn't toe the line. During their critical points chase, expensive signing Enzo was often benched. Despite both being Argentine, Pochettino perhaps didn't favor using Enzo, which likely caused friction with the higher-ups who wanted to see their expensive asset on the field.

So why bring in a novice coach? Probably because a rookie would be more compliant, allowing the management to retain control over transfers and impose their decisions on the coach. However, it's uncertain whether this new coach has the ability to integrate all these players effectively. One positive note is that while Chelsea now has several high-profile players, there are no veteran figures dominating the dressing room. Hopefully, this rookie coach can manage the various factions within the team and not squander the goodwill of the American owners.

Haha, they hired a rookie coach, but everyone has to start somewhere. We still need to give him a chance!
