Today, for some reason, my friends who were with me suddenly got the urge to watch me play gambling. Although they knew I played gambling casually, they had never paid much attention to what I was actually playing.
Today, since they were interested, I wanted to show off a bit. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed at all. After seven consecutive losses, they couldn't help but burst into laughter, teasing me for being so bad at it. They were amazed that despite my poor skills and losing so often, I still treated them to fancy meals and drinks. I couldn't stand feeling embarrassed, so I tried to act cool and said, "Don't rush to judgment. You guys don't understand gambling. Winning and losing streaks are quite common. Watch how I turn things around."
Some of them didn't believe me and gave me skeptical looks. I continued to act confidently, saying, "You don't have to believe me. I'll definitely win the next round." Then, I doubled my bet. As it turned out, I won the next round, and their expressions shifted from amusement to uncertainty. I knew I was halfway through successfully pretending to be an expert. I continued my play, and in the end, I not only recovered all the money I had lost during the seven-game losing streak but also made a small profit of 14 yuan. I knew I had successfully pulled off this act and presented myself as a gambling master in front of them.
Of course, my friends aren't fools. They knew I wasn't a real gambling master and that luck played a significant role in my turnaround. However, occasionally successfully acting cool is quite satisfying. Regardless of the process, the key is that I managed to make it work. So, while I didn't encourage them to join me in playing gambling, it would be great if someone around me could share in the joy of playing gambling together.
So, that's the story of today's gambling session, and even though my attempt at acting cool was pretty amusing, haha. |
