"On the morning of September 28th, the spotlight of the U.S. Open Cup final was at Inter Miami CF's home ground. However, fans were left disappointed as they eagerly anticipated Lionel Messi's presence, but he was absent. This absence ultimately led to Inter Miami CF's 1-2 defeat to the Houston Dynamo, missing out on the championship.
Objectively speaking, there was a certain gap in strength between Inter Miami CF and the Houston Dynamo. In the first half, Inter Miami CF found themselves trailing 0-2. Although they managed to score a goal in the second half through Martinez, they couldn't equalize the score, ending up with a defeat on their home turf. The biggest regret of this match was undoubtedly Messi's absence. Due to injury, Messi couldn't make it to the matchday squad, but he was present in the stands alongside Antonela and their children, cheering for Inter Miami CF. Messi's absence was considered one of the main reasons for the loss.
Despite this match being only the U.S. Open Cup final, the atmosphere was still star-studded. FIFA President Infantino, NBA superstar Harden, and football legend Zidane were among the prominent figures in attendance. Alongside them was Inter Miami CF's owner, Beckham. The stadium was filled with star power, adding a unique shine to the game.
Before the match, Messi took a photo with Beckham and Zidane, a sight that left fans in deep reflection. They suddenly realized that even the football icon Beckham was gradually losing his hair. It made me reflect on how time can be unkind; not even my all-time handsome Beckham was spared!
The trio's picture sparked discussions among fans, with some pointing out that two of them belong to the top ten in football history. Many thought Beckham was an exceptional player during his time, even finishing in the top three of Ballon d'Or voting, but when compared to Messi and Zidane, he falls far behind.
Nevertheless, Messi, Beckham, and Zidane, these three football legends, have left indelible marks on the football world. Despite the less-than-ideal outcome of this match, Inter Miami CF's primary goal is now to advance to the MLS playoffs. With five games left in the season, they are currently trailing the 9th-placed New York City FC by just five points. While there's hope, it's not without its challenges, especially with Messi's injury situation uncertain. The world of football always holds incredible possibilities, and we look forward to Messi's return and more exciting performances from Inter Miami CF." |
