I don't know when it started, but gambling has become a "game" in the mouths of adults. When did you start considering gambling as a game? I think gambling is indeed a game, but it's a game that requires money. In fact, it's not just gambling; many games on the market also require money. So why aren't those pay-to-play games called gambling? Why do we call the ones we play gambling?
Perhaps it's a matter of consumption. Regular games can be played without spending money, but gambling games require you to spend money to participate. That's the difference between the two. Gambling has become deeply rooted in society, leading many people to become addicted, including myself. If you haven't encountered gambling, I would advise you to think twice. But for the friends here, how many of you didn't come here for gambling?
Gambling isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you must exercise self-control. If you can control yourself well when gambling, even if you don't win money, I believe you've won because you've achieved one thing: self-control!
Don't just blame gambling; anything and everything can become addictive. It's like enjoying eating durian; that can become addictive too. "Addiction" is a human emotion, sometimes difficult to control, just like gambling. All we can do is exercise restraint. |
