"Why is everyone so obsessed with comparisons? Always competing and comparing, isn't it tiring? Comparing wealth, who's wearing the most expensive designer brands, and even their pets.
Last night, when I went home for dinner, there was a large group of gossipmongers gathered, continuously boasting about their children's achievements. If your child is outstanding, that's great! There's no need to keep talking about it since everyone can see it.
Even if someone is exceptionally talented, having a poor character can overshadow all that. I have a relative who excels in various aspects but falls short when it comes to character. Perhaps it's because they think highly of themselves and look down on others!
Don't think that character doesn't matter; it has a significant impact. It's not just my random opinion; it's true! Every time this relative of mine plays cards with me, they end up losing. They've never won, and even when they do, it's just a few dollars.
I've often heard people say that character affects your luck in card games, and I believe it. Otherwise, how could they be so consistently unlucky? I'm not worried; my character is decent, so occasionally, the heavens favor me." |
