October 28th News: The Pistons defeated the Hornets 111-99 today. After the game, Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart was interviewed by reporters.
Speaking about winning a fiercely contested game, Stewart said, "Coach Monty always tells us, no matter how the emotions are, to stay calm (pointing to his chest). When the game gets tough, you have to keep your inner strength. I think the coach has rehearsed this environment during training."
Regarding his performance in the fourth quarter, Stewart said, "I feel like I've grown a lot. Obviously, the results of my hard work can prove that. I've put in a lot of effort, and I'm just trying to bring something new to the new season."
Stewart went 6 for 10 today, scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist.
