Being able to travel the world is probably a dream for many, right? There's a financial expert in the United States who resigned from his job at the age of 47 to make that dream come true. He had a clever idea – he decided to live on a cruise ship. He doesn't have to clean his room, cook, or do laundry, and he gets to enjoy breathtaking ocean views. His current lifestyle is supported by just 5 hours of work per day, where he provides private investment plans to clients.
Mario Salcedo, a 72-year-old former financial professional from Miami, decided to embark on this unique journey. His previous job was very demanding, and he rarely had time to be at home. However, during a business trip, he noticed people enjoying themselves on the beach, which made him realize that life should be about happiness. Earning money in a suit and tie, although financially rewarding, was costing him his time and joy. At the age of 47, he made the bold decision to resign and begin a new chapter in his life.
Mario aspired to fulfill his dream of traveling the world, so he chose to live on cruise ships. From that day forward, he has been residing on luxury cruise liners for 23 years, without ever returning home. He has eliminated all those activities that he considered meaningless from his life and instead spends his time indulging in what he loves. Although Mario's cabin is very modest, with only a small desk and a chair (his usual workspace), it's more than sufficient for him. Currently, he only needs to work for 5 hours a day to support his lifestyle. He doesn't have to worry about taking out the trash, cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, or even basic daily necessities like shower gel, shampoo, and other toiletries, as everything is taken care of on the cruise ship. |
