My wife went back to her parents' home, leaving me alone with the child. After these past few days, I've finally realized how tough it is for my wife. I can't sleep properly, have to wake up in the early hours to feed the baby, and I can honestly say I haven't slept for more than 6 hours in a day. I have to do housework and cook. I don't even have time for a break, let alone looking at my phone. Now, all I want is for my wife to come back quickly.
I'm on the verge of breaking down. It's true that fortunes can change. Before, when my wife told me how tough it was for her, I just brushed it off, thinking she had it easy at home without a job. Now, I've experienced it firsthand that being a homemaker is not easier than going to work. Right now, she's living carefree at her parents' place, not having to take care of the child or do any housework. All she does is eat, play on her phone, and sleep. |
