Don't laugh just yet! Because this headline isn't nonsense – it's actually true that animals are wearing VR glasses to enter the virtual world!
In Turkey, a farmer named Izzet Kocak has put VR headsets on his dairy cows, bringing them into a virtual world, allowing them to feel like they are in an outdoor pasture in the summer even when inside the barn during winter. The reason behind this farmer's action is based on research that suggests comfortable and pleasant surroundings make cows happier, greatly benefiting the health of dairy cows and influencing the quality and quantity of milk production. Even Izzet himself mentioned that after his cows wore the VR headsets, milk production increased from 22 liters per day to 27 liters.
I'm curious – can the cows really see lush green grass through those VR glasses? If a cow accidentally wanders out of the enclosure, will it keep walking farther away, unable to find its way back home with the virtual goggles on? Nevertheless, these cows are truly fortunate to have such an advanced owner. I haven't even experienced the virtual world brought by VR myself... |
