The long-standing duel between Messi and Ronaldo has been a cherished memory for fans. Since Ronaldo left Real Madrid, on-field clashes between the two have been rare. Now, there's a chance for a Messi-Ronaldo showdown again! And it might happen as soon as next February!

We know Saudi Arabia aims to boost its international profile by attracting global football stars like Ronaldo. Recently, the Saudi Tourism Authority announced the 'Riyadh Season' and plans to invite several teams for friendly matches, with Messi's current team, Miami International, notably on the list.

If all goes as planned, Miami International will play a friendly against Riyadh Victory, bringing together the world's two most famous football stars, Messi and Ronaldo, in a match officially named 'The Last Dance.' The anticipation and excitement for this encounter are off the charts.

However, Miami International clarified shortly after the news release that the itinerary is not finalized, and all details will be disclosed in the coming weeks. Despite the uncertainty, with the atmosphere and even a poster created, fans believe Miami International won't disappoint. Let's hope this dream comes true, as it may mark the last duel of the Messi-Ronaldo era.

When Messi and Ronaldo each make an appearance, the attention is already incredibly massive. If Messi and Ronaldo play together, the attention would be even more phenomenal. This kind of event is just for entertainment, and unless the two meet directly on the World Cup stage, these friendly matches, fueled by money, can pretty much happen as long as the price is right, right? Ronaldo's team in Saudi Arabia is not short of money, but it requires the right financial backing. Messi's team, on the other hand, belongs to the Miami International, an American team, known for its business acumen. So, as long as the price is right, I believe they can organize matches throughout the next few years, perhaps playing two games each year.

Both players are aging, reaching the twilight of their careers. They can no longer single-handedly determine the outcome of a game. Additionally, the other players in both teams are not top-tier, so these matches might not be very exciting in terms of gameplay. The allure lies in nostalgia, reminiscing about the youth of these two legends. If both Messi and Ronaldo can participate in the 2026 World Cup, then we might anticipate their last dance on the World Cup stage.

This kind of hype is like subtracting one more match from their playing careers each time, especially considering that both of them are actually entering the countdown to retirement.

Messi is still in top form, while Ronaldo, facing Armenia with the national team, missed several goal opportunities. The once-in-a-lifetime duo, this might truly be their final dance, although I'm not very excited about it.
