This world never lacks young talents, but even the youngest talents need protection. Barcelona's emerging star, Gavi, considered one of football's brightest young midfielders, succumbed to the relentless pressure from frequent matches, ultimately unable to withstand a torn cruciate ligament. He will miss the European Championship and the remaining matches of this season.

In recent years, Barcelona, facing financial difficulties, has shifted from the strategy of spending big on star players to promoting youth academy talents. Players like Fati, Pedri, and Gavi have emerged as young stars from Barcelona's youth academy. Pedri and Gavi even won the Golden Boy award, signifying a promising future.

However, young players' bodies are still developing, and participating in too many matches can lead to overuse and serious injuries. Fati, once hailed as the next Messi, suffered injuries due to excessive play in his youth and is now on loan to Brighton, struggling to regain his past form. Pedri, too, has faced setbacks since his major injury, making it difficult for him to consistently play.

Now it's Gavi's turn. Although his injury occurred while playing for the Spanish national team, he played in at least 60 matches in the past year, a challenging task for a 19-year-old. It's no surprise that he got injured. Some fans are urging Barcelona to protect these young players more, arguing that they shouldn't be playing so many matches at such a young age. However, Barcelona may not have the luxury to heed this advice given its current financial situation.

Barcelona's first team already has a 16-year-old, Lamine Yamal, who has become a regular starter. Let's hope Yamal doesn't suffer the same fate as his predecessors. Wishing all players a speedy recovery and freedom from injuries.

Barcelona's youth academy has indeed been doing quite well, consistently producing talented young players. The current economic situation of Barcelona is indeed poor, making it challenging to acquire top-notch players. As a result, they have to rely on promoting talents from their own youth academy, providing opportunities to promising players and addressing squad shortages.

Gavi, last year's winner of the Golden Boy award, is a testament to the excellence of Barcelona's youth development. He has rightfully become a key player in the current Barcelona lineup. Despite Gavi's seemingly gentle appearance, he plays with a physical and aggressive style, earning him the nickname 'Jade-Faced Butcher.' This title reflects his robust and impactful playing style, often leading to injuries for opponents.

Players with aggressive playing styles, like Gavi, are more prone to causing injuries to others, but they also face a higher risk of getting injured themselves. Therefore, I'm not surprised by Gavi's recent serious injury, considering his history of aggressive play. Hopefully, this injury won't derail Gavi's promising career. Despite my lack of fondness for Barcelona, I do hope that the 'Jade-Faced Butcher' can overcome this setback and have a successful professional career.

Actually, I wonder if there's any method to reduce players' injuries. Is it insufficient warm-up, inadequate training, or some other reason? Otherwise, these career-threatening injuries seem too costly for them.

Gavi has indeed played too many matches, juggling between various competitions. His robust playing style and position on the field make him more susceptible to injuries. Now, it seems necessary to impose some restrictions on players aged 17-18, considering their bodies are not fully developed, and there may be issues with their maturity. The pain Gavi is going through after the injury is truly heartbreaking. I hope he can bounce back, especially considering he is not even 19 yet; he still has a promising future ahead.

We've never lacked superstars. The density of matches in Europe is child's play compared to Brazil. The club bears responsibility for injuries, but solely blaming the club is bizarre.
