This happened a few days ago, but only now do I have the time to write about it. Manchester United's young talent, the number 17,Garnacho, scored an incredible bicycle kick. This goal essentially secured the title of the best goal of the year, destined to be talked about for years as a super goal.
I honestly didn't have any expectations for this recent Manchester United team to win against their opponents. So, a team with only one goal from the front line finding it hard to win games. When our United's front line finally exploded against Everton, and Garnacho scored such a beautiful goal, I was genuinely happy.
When Garnacho scored, tears welled up in my eyes because he reminded me of the time when Rooney scored a beautiful goal with a bicycle kick. Garnacho's goal was even more challenging than Rooney's. Additionally, even though Ronaldo is not at United now, during his time at Real Madrid, he scored a similar bicycle kick goal. So, when I saw Ghana Joe imitating Ronaldo's famous celebration move, siuuuu, I couldn't hold back. I wasn't crying for the goal; I was shedding tears in remembrance of my youth.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, Manchester United has been in a slump for almost a decade. The team's performance this year hasn't been great, and my expectations for their results this season aren't too high. However, Garnacho's goal made me realize once again that while there may be better and stronger teams dominating football in the future, my true love will always be for Manchester United. This love has become loyal through the washing of time, carrying my full youth memories.
