On November 28th, the Clippers suffered a 104-113 defeat to the Nuggets. After the game, Clippers player Russell Westbrook was interviewed.
During the game, Westbrook had a prolonged verbal altercation with a heckler on the sidelines.
Westbrook addressed the incident after the game, saying, "I was just protecting myself, that's all it was. Unfortunately, fans think they can say whatever they want. That crosses the line, and I can't tolerate that. I've been holding back for many years, and now my son is old enough to understand what's going on. Now, I have to stand up against it."
"I was responding in that moment, and I had reasons for doing so."
Regarding the loss to the short-handed Nuggets after winning four out of five games, Westbrook said, "As I said, it's going to be a process."
In this game, Westbrook came off the bench for 27 minutes, making 5 out of 9 shots and contributing 14 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block. |
