In life, there's a common saying: 'Appearance reflects the mind,' meaning that a person's inner thoughts can influence their outward appearance and behavior. Have you ever noticed that being with someone in a good mood can make the entire atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable? Conversely, spending time with someone who constantly complains can be depressing. Moreover, a person who consistently maintains a positive and happy demeanor appears comfortable and attractive.

I once observed a pair of identical twin sisters, both equally beautiful. Each sister got married and started their own families. However, one day, they had a serious argument that strained their relationship. Despite the older sister's efforts to reconcile, the younger sister was influenced by her husband and became petty and narrow-minded, even cutting ties with friends and family who were close to the older sister. Over time, the younger sister started looking less and less like her twin, and her appearance took on a resentful demeanor. It was astonishing to witness how two identical twins could become so dissimilar. Seeing this, I deeply understood the truth behind the saying, 'Appearance reflects the mind.' If a person's inner self is not happy and open-minded, it will reflect on their external appearance. This illustrates how one's mood can change their physical appearance.

Later on, the younger twin sister had an epiphany and reconciled with her older sister. Miraculously, as they rekindled their relationship, the twins started to look more alike again, almost identical. The younger sister, who had previously appeared less attractive, transformed into a beautiful and radiant person. During family reunions, she no longer wore a bitter expression but welcomed others with a smiling face. It was as if she had undergone a complete transformation, radiating with a remarkable glow. This experience further confirmed the essence of 'Appearance reflects the mind.'

In conclusion, whether 'Appearance reflects the mind' is objectively true or simply a subjective perception is hard to say. Nevertheless, it serves as a valuable reminder that our inner thoughts, positivity, sincerity, and goodwill can significantly impact our external presentation. On the contrary, those who harbor negativity and complaints find it challenging to exhibit genuine charm outwardly. True beauty, therefore, emanates not only from outward appearance but more so from inner authenticity and kindness. By cultivating such qualities, we can remain true in this noisy world and emit a unique radiance.

I believe in this statement: What the heart nurtures, that is how one will appear.

Although I don't believe that the heart determines one's appearance, I do acknowledge that it can influence one's temperament.
