In the third and last One-Day International of their three-match series, India defeated South Africa in Paarl on Thursday by a score of 78 runs. India won the series 2-1 thanks to the victory. Tony de Zorzi hit 81 runs off 87 balls, but South Africa was bowled out for 218 in 45.5 overs while chasing 297. Arshdeep Singh bagged four wickets for the visiting team, while Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar each claimed two wickets. India first reached 296/8 in 50 overs thanks to a century from Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, who pounded 108 off 114 balls with six fours and three sixes. Tilak Varma, for India, achieved a significant half-century by hitting 52 off 77 deliveries. Beuran Hendricks took three wickets for the bowling department of South Africa.
