December 21 News: Today, reporter Shams discussed the progress of Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving's injury on a podcast.
Shams said, "A few weeks ago, he suffered what looked like a serious injury. Powell pressed on his entire leg, causing a contusion. Since then, Irving has been wearing a protective boot and using crutches. However, I've been informed that he no longer needs the protective boot and crutches, and has started the rehabilitation process until his return."
He added, "The Mavericks need both Doncic and Irving, and they need them to be 100% healthy. If they can ensure their health, the Mavericks have a good chance of breaking through the first round of the playoffs and even going further. So, it's a good thing that they are patient with Irving."
This season, Kyrie Irving has played in 17 games for the Mavericks, averaging 31.8 minutes per game, scoring 23 points, grabbing 3.9 rebounds, and providing 5.2 assists per game. |
