Next up on their current bilateral tour is India's two-match Test series against South Africa. Since their 1-0 triumph over the West Indies in July of this year, the Men in Blue have not participated in a single game in the format. West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first in that particular game. In the first innings, they could only muster 150 runs, while India's Ravichandran Ashwin claimed five wickets. Yashashvi Jaiswal scored his first Test century during India's batting innings, and Rohit Sharma added another 103 runs. India was able to score 421 runs before they had to declare their innings thanks to this. In the second batting innings for the West Indies, Ashwin was back to his usual antics, taking seven wickets to secure a victory.
