December 31st News: In the NBA regular season, the Lakers were defeated 106-108 by the Timberwolves on the road.
In the final moments of the game, Lakers forward LeBron James made a contested shot, and after a review, the referees ruled that James stepped out of bounds, and the basket was counted as 2 points.
After the game, Davis was interviewed about the controversial call. He said, "It was a three-pointer, clearly a three-pointer, the foot was behind the line. We talked to the referees, and they said it was the replay center (that informed them)… It's very difficult. It's definitely tough."
