On January 8th, the Warriors suffered a 118-135 defeat to the Raptors at home.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, in a post-game interview, discussed the decision to start Wiggins and Kuminga together, a decision that was later abandoned in the second half.
Kerr stated, "We've discussed trying to get them out there together. In theory, they're our two tallest and most athletic players. We've struggled defensively this season, so we wanted to experiment. But so far, the pairing hasn't clicked, and their performance throughout the season hasn't been good. However, we are in an experimental phase."
Wiggins played 17 minutes today, scoring 3 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Kuminga played 25 minutes, scoring 13 points, securing 4 rebounds, and providing 4 assists.
