India will try to put on a better bowling display against West Indies in their second Women's T20 World Cup match here on Wednesday after defeating Pakistan in the opening match. In the victory over Pakistan, the Indian batsmen—who were missing vice captain Smriti Mandhana—completed their most successful chase in the history of the T20 World Cup. Due to a finger injury, Mandhana was unable to play in the match against Pakistan; however, he is expected to return to the squad for the match against the West Indies, who are coming off a crushing defeat to England. Pakistan was able to score 91 runs in the second half of their innings because the Indian bowlers were careless towards the end of the innings.
