The International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted this six-team, one-month competition, List A status. It is an Emirates Cricket Board event. The team captains and vice captains were enthusiastic about their respective teams' performances when they gathered at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday for a press conference and photo op with the trophy. Lynn stated in an ILT20 press release, "We worked really well last year. T20 is all about coming up with new ideas and changing with the times. We had some excellent batting wickets the previous year, and hopefully we can replicate that."
