For Ishan Kishan, all is not lost. For the young batter-wicketer, there is hope for a better future. India's head coach Rahul Dravid made it plain that Kishan is still a contender for the global competition, which is set to take place in the USA and the West Indies in June of this year, following their 3-0 victory over Afghanistan in their final Twenty20 International series prior to the Twenty20 World Cup. Before the South Africa tour, Kishan was a consistent player for the Indian team in all three formats. However, he decided to leave the Indian squad and flew to Dubai, citing mental fatigue, which put him out of the running.
