According to the British media, the Evening Standard, Karim Benzema is reportedly optimistic about the possibility of joining the English Premier League after seeing Jordan Henderson leave Saudi Arabia and return to Europe.
The 36-year-old Benzema has expressed his willingness to leave and is exploring his options. Both Chelsea and Arsenal are in search of a striker to enhance their attacking capabilities. Benzema believes he may move to the Premier League, but it is currently unclear whether the deal will materialize.
Reportedly, Benzema's annual salary in Saudi Arabia is £88 million, and Al-Nassr, the team in Jeddah, has no intention of letting him leave, either on loan or through a permanent transfer.
Despite having two years left on his contract, Benzema is reportedly dissatisfied with his performance in the Saudi league. Al-Nassr, as the defending champions, is currently trailing 25 points behind Al Hilal. In 24 matches, Benzema has scored 15 goals, but his performance has faced criticism from the Saudi media. |
