The case of Manchester City being sued by the Premier League for violating 115 financial regulations has been dragging on for almost a year. However, there has been no progress in the lawsuit, even though Everton has already faced severe penalties for violating financial regulations. People are surprised why Manchester City has not been punished so far. Perhaps due to the prolonged lawsuit, Liverpool legend Souness couldn't help but speak out, urging the Premier League to respond positively to this matter.

Souness spoke out mainly because the committee had already set a hearing date for the 115 charges of violating expenditure regulations against Manchester City. However, they did not publicly disclose the date, which surprised him. He believes the Premier League should publicly respond to this matter instead of resolving it privately behind closed doors, as Manchester City's accusations involve the future development and image of the entire Premier League.

Some think that as a Liverpool legend, Souness must hope that his team's competitors will be punished and relegated due to violations. However, Souness stated that he does not think that way. According to his understanding, this case is very complex, much more complicated than the Everton punishment case. Considering the huge financial figures involved behind Manchester City and their role as one of the faces of the Premier League in recent years, how to handle the matter properly is a severe test of the judgment of the Premier League management. Souness posed a soul-searching question: "If you were the Premier League, do you want Manchester City to be found innocent or guilty?" The Premier League itself is probably in a dilemma.

Souness also mentioned that countries like Spain, Germany, and Italy are closely following this matter. They dislike the Premier League overshadowing their leagues and are looking for any opportunity to strike against the Premier League, especially some European big clubs that would like to establish the European Super League and compete for revenue with Premier League clubs but have faced setbacks. Therefore, Manchester City's financial violation issue is not just a simple violation of regulations; it has become a complex topic, and the Premier League is handling it cautiously.

However, Souness emphasized in the end that this is the time for Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters to prove himself. Regardless of the outcome, the ability to handle the matter properly is a demonstration of competence. It's time to step forward and stop the cover-ups.

The case of Manchester City being sued by the Premier League for violating 115 financial regulations has no concrete updates so far. The longer the delay, the more unfavorable it seems for them. Hoping for a resolution soon.

In the final analysis, it's about having the financial resources. Manchester City, in response to this case, has assembled a luxurious legal team, not to mention hiring high-priced public relations and lobbying teams. While there's a high probability that Manchester City will be found guilty, the outcome is likely to involve downplaying the severity, with a fine as the resolution.

As an Arsenal fan, last year, I was hoping Manchester City would be punished so that my team could finally win the Premier League title. However, by the end of the season and well into the new season, Manchester City is still going strong. Ironically, it's Everton, without the financial and influential backing, that became the first to be penalized – a bit of a joke for the Premier League. Nevertheless, FA is under tremendous pressure. Despite being considered the top league, the Premier League has often relied on Manchester City to earn respect in European competitions. Last season, it was through Manchester City that the Premier League finally secured a long-awaited UEFA Champions League title. While Manchester City's wealth and influence are unmatched by Everton, the FA's delay in addressing the issue has left many fans of the remaining 19 teams in the Premier League discontented. The former Liverpool player expressing his opinion now may also be influenced by the fact that Liverpool is currently leading the league, with Manchester City trailing by only 2 points. Just like I was hoping for Manchester City's punishment last season, Liverpool fans are now eager for Manchester City to be penalized. Otherwise, given Manchester City's strength, a 2-point gap is not guaranteed for Liverpool to secure the title. However, I believe that Manchester City is unlikely to be penalized this season; it might take a few more years before any action is taken. The FA has a history of engaging in shameless acts, and this situation is no exception.

Indeed, with money, anything seems escapable... This matter has been dragging on for so long, and it seems to be an outcome without a resolution.
