Several current and former members of the Indian cricket community were recognized for their achievements on the field in both domestic and international competitions at the BCCI Awards, which were held in Hyderabad. In recognition of his services to Indian cricket, former coach Ravi Shastri received the CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, and Shubman Gill was named Cricketer of the Year for 2022–2023. Shubman Gill was supposed to receive the Cricketer of the Year award after a remarkable year in which he became the quickest player to reach the 2000 run mark in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and amassed five hundreds.
