Durant is already one of the most powerful players in the NBA, and his individual skills speak for themselves. Even when looking at the entire history of the NBA, his scoring ability stands out. After joining the Suns, Durant expressed his ambition to help the team win a championship. Despite being such a formidable player, he mentioned in an interview that there are only two players currently active in the league who are worthy of his admiration, and as for the rest of the players, he believes they are not up to par.

When Durant was asked how many teams this season have the potential to compete for the championship after joining the Suns, he mentioned that there are several teams with the capability to contend for the championship, some of which are led by the NBA's most outstanding players. The conversation then shifted to who Durant respects the most in the league.

After giving it some thought, Durant openly stated that there are only two players in the current league whom he truly respects. The first is his former teammate, Curry. Curry has more accolades than Durant, with two more championship rings, and Durant greatly admires Curry's commitment to the Warriors, regardless of how well or poorly the team is doing. Durant also mentioned that during his time with the Warriors, Curry was willing to step back from his core position and frequently helped Durant improve, which is why Durant holds Curry in high regard.

The second player Durant respects is LeBron James. Durant credited LeBron with inspiring him and guiding him on the path to success. Durant is now following in LeBron's footsteps. As for other highly talented players, such as Giannis and Tatum, Durant believes that they have not yet achieved the same level of honors as himself, so he does not see them as worthy of his admiration. Additionally, Giannis had previously made comments criticizing Durant's leadership abilities on a TV show, so Durant naturally does not hold Giannis in high regard.

Whether on the field they are opponents or enemies, but off the field, they are good friends.

I believe that strong individuals never compare themselves, and they certainly never belittle others.

Durant definitely doesn't respect Giannis. First of all, Giannis is a person who likes to showcase himself and wants to compete for everything.
