India thrashed Nepal by 130 runs to book their semi-final spot in the Super six Group 1 clash at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. Dhas and Saharan smashed tons to lift India to 295/7 after opting to bat. Pandey was on fire with the ball, taking four wickets for the second consecutive game, and the third time in this tournament, as Nepal were reduced to 165/9. India’s top order flopped and were reduced to 62/3. Dhas and Saharan then rescued them with a mammoth 215-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Nepal never got going in the chase and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were 120/9 before the last wicket pair of Gupta and Chand batted out the 50 overs to avoid an innings defeat
