MGM Resorts International, the parent company of MGM Grand, collaborates with Sotheby's in a joint auction featuring 11 Picasso artworks from the MGM collection, with a total estimated value exceeding 100 million dollars.

According to international media reports, the auction took place in Las Vegas. MGM Grand has curated a collection of 23 Picasso paintings, and for this auction, 11 of them were selected. The remaining 12 pieces will continue to be showcased in the Picasso-themed restaurant at the Bellagio Hotel, owned by MGM Resorts. The paintings up for auction include "Femme au beret rouge-orange" (Woman with Red-Orange Beret), estimated at 20 to 30 million dollars, as well as "Homme et enfant" (Man and Child), also estimated in the range of 20 to 30 million dollars. Additionally, there is "Buste d’homme" (Bust of a Man) with an estimated value of 10 to 15 million dollars.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), born in Malaga, Spain, is widely recognized as one of the most famous artists of the 20th century, leaving behind a prolific body of work. In the 1980s, Stephen Wynn, founder and former chairman of Wynn Resorts, established the Gold Coast on the Las Vegas Strip. By 1998, Wynn and his company Mirage Resorts purchased this collection for the Bellagio's gallery and Picasso-themed restaurant, coinciding with the opening of the Mirage Resorts casino hotel. The collection also includes works by other artists such as Matisse, Van Gogh, Warhol, Hockney, Koons, Haring, Lichtenstein, Rothko, and Johns. In 2000, Wynn sold Mirage Resorts and Bellagio to MGM Resorts, and the collection continued to be displayed in the name of MGM Resorts at the restaurant. The Bellagio gallery continued to host various modern art exhibitions. Over the years, Wynn has continued to acquire art through Wynn Fine Art.
