In reality, the Premier League has won three out of the last four Champions League titles, with the only exception being the year Real Madrid won it. This demonstrates the competitiveness of English teams.

The development of the Premier League has led to concerns from other leagues, particularly from clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona. Their anxiety is evident in the creation of the European Super League. However, it seems like an overreaction. Real Madrid and Barcelona remain the most influential clubs globally, and it will take at least a decade for the Premier League to potentially surpass them, assuming these Spanish clubs face a decade of decline – a highly unlikely scenario. Therefore, their urgency to establish the ESL remains unclear.
