The Lakers relied on Anthony Davis's dominant performance of 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, along with 7 steals and 3 blocks to beat the Timberwolves 120-109. However, the Timberwolves' "Ant-Man" Anthony Edwards once again questioned the referees' calls after the game.

In this game, the Lakers collectively received 29 free throw attempts, with Davis alone taking 13 of them, while the Timberwolves as a whole only had 13 attempts. Edwards expressed his frustration, saying, "It's too hard. You can't compete when your opponent gets more free throws than your entire team. It's really tough."

"We get called for fouls every time we play serious defense, sending them to the free-throw line. It's really difficult, I don't know what else to say," Edwards added.

In fact, this is not the first time Edwards has complained about the referees this season. At the end of January, when the Timberwolves visited the Thunder, Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander received 16 free throw attempts throughout the game, one more than the entire Timberwolves team. Edwards angrily criticized the referees after that game, saying, "Terrible officiating! Fine me if you want, but I still have to say it, the referees didn't give us a chance today." The league later fined him $40,000.

Two days ago, when the Timberwolves visited the Cavaliers, the Timberwolves had a total of 22 free throw attempts as a team. However, Cavaliers' center Jarrett Allen alone had 21 free throw attempts. After center Rudy Gobert fouled out and left the court, he made a "money counting" gesture towards referee Scott Forstall, leading to the league announcing a $100,000 fine today.
