After a 2-day break, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Warriors at home today, but the game was plagued with various issues. First, Davis left the court in the first quarter due to an eye injury, and then, towards the end of the game, there was a malfunction with the shot clock, causing a 15-second stretch to last over 16 minutes. In the end, the Lakers lost 121-128.

In today's NBA matchup, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Golden State Warriors, a showdown between the 9th and 10th-ranked teams in the Western Conference playoffs.

Although the Lakers led the Warriors 36-30 in the first quarter, with 2 minutes and 47 seconds left in the quarter, Trayce Jackson-Davis of the Warriors poked Anthony Davis of the Lakers in the left eye while attempting a layup. Despite Anthony Davis toughing it out for the rest of the quarter before returning to the locker room, he didn't return to the game thereafter.

Without Davis, the Lakers were overtaken by the Warriors 67-66 at halftime, and at one point in the third quarter, they trailed by as many as 12 points. However, with 2 minutes and 7 seconds left in the game, LeBron James hit a three-pointer to bring the Lakers within 4 points. But after 17 seconds, the referees called a timeout, ruling that James had stepped out of bounds before making the shot, thus nullifying the three-pointer.

According to reports from ClutchPoints, the game was further delayed due to Lakers' timeout challenges and malfunctioning shot clocks, resulting in a 15-second game time extension that lasted over 16 minutes, leaving players stranded on the court.

The game eventually concluded with the shot clock being turned off. From 1 minute and 35 seconds left in the game until the end, the remaining time for each possession was announced by arena staff via microphone at intervals of 20, 14, 10, and 5 seconds, bringing an absurd end to the game.

LeBron James scored the highest of the game with 40 points, along with 9 assists and 8 rebounds, while Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 31 points.
