This change reflects a trend in the Las Vegas resort company, with other hotels also recently beginning to raise fees.

This action will impact travelers' finances, as the Wynn Resort has announced an increase in its resort fees in Las Vegas.

The Wynn Resort will adjust the prices of its Las Vegas resorts, raising them from $45 to $50.

Effective from January 24, 2024, the daily resort fee including tax will increase by $50, according to Las Vegas Review Magazine. Bookings made after this date will be subject to the new rates. Previous bookings will continue to be charged at the previous rate of $45 per day, including tax.

Resort fees, which have become a common practice in Las Vegas, include a range of services and facilities aimed at enhancing guests' experiences. At the Wynn Resort, these fees provide guests with various privileges such as indoor wireless internet access, access to fitness centers and pools, spa reservations, golf course reservations, and access to digital newsstands. Additionally, guests can enjoy the convenience of Alexa in-room entertainment services and room controls.

Against the backdrop of fluctuating hotel room prices in Las Vegas, the decision to raise resort fees has been made. In fact, hotel room prices in the city are expected to plummet by 35% on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday, indicating potential changes in the hotel industry.

While price increases may concern budget-conscious travelers, the Wynn Resort is committed to maintaining service quality and providing a range of convenient facilities. Despite economic factors influencing the pricing structure, the company remains committed to delivering exceptional service.

Travelers planning trips to Las Vegas may need to consider these adjusted resort fees when budgeting.

Las Vegas resort hotel prices have risen, with the MGM Resort being the first to raise prices.

In January, the MGM Resort announced an increase in resort fees for its five hotels in Las Vegas, each by $50, including Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, MGM Grand Hotel, and Signature. The adjustment will take effect from 2006 and will begin on January 16, 2024, equivalent to an increase of $2-3 per day.

Resorts typically handle fees implicitly to maintain official room rates at lower levels, improving online rankings and reducing commission expenses. After the pandemic, with increased competition, Las Vegas resorts are strategizing to balance supply and demand.

In early February, US President Joe Biden visited Las Vegas and promised to eliminate hidden fees such as resort fees, which would increase accommodation expenses for American citizens. These fees often come as a surprise to travelers, affecting their vacation budgets.

Biden stated his intention to combat this practice on social media, emphasizing its impact on hardworking families. While details of the elimination method have not been disclosed, Biden promises to reduce the costs of repeating previous commitments. He previously targeted deceptive pricing and pledged to combat junk fees.

This seems to be about making more money, too.
