Most people see Wormhole as just a bridge. But it's much more than that. Wormhole is a development platform where various types of applications can be built on top of it: multi-chain DeFi protocols and applications (like Aave, Circle USDC, Hashflow, Pike, Magpie), multi-chain governance (Uniswap), token bridges (Portal, Carrier), multi-chain oracle feeds (Pyth), in-wallet bridging (Backpack), multi-chain NFTs (DeGods, y00ts), and more. What excites us most about Wormhole is the diversity of applications built on it, and it's still in its early stages. As the total value of assets bridged using Wormhole exceeds $41 billion, the opportunity space for native Wormhole applications will continue to grow. Recently, Wormhole achieved a significant milestone: 1 billion cross-chain messages, the highest among all cross-chain messaging systems. But perhaps most importantly, Wormhole supports nearly 30 different chains, making it a very powerful bridging solution. Wormhole runs on almost all major EVM chains, as well as Near, chains based on the Move language (like Aptos and Sui), and of course, Solana. Wormhole is one of the most diverse and flexible crypto stacks. From day one, it has prioritized diversity and flexibility, continuously investing in multi-chain support. It's been an adventurous decision, but the results have proven it to be visionary. |
