My friend and I went out for a drink and to watch the World Cup recently. Right at the beginning of the match, my friend confidently said that Germany would definitely win against Japan. However, it turned out to be a surprising upset. Germany led 1-0 in the first half, but in the second half, Japan managed to come back and won with 2 goals. Nevertheless, when it comes to excitement, it couldn't compare to the performance of the Spanish team. They had a perfect start! Spain crushed Costa Rica 7-0 in the match, scoring nearly every ten minutes – it was incredible to watch.

In the first half-hour, Spain had a possession rate of 74%, with Spain attempting over 6 shots in the first half, while Costa Rica's data was 0. It seemed like there were 11 Spanish players all over the field, wearing their red jerseys. Costa Rica was heavily pressured and rarely launched any threatening attacks. The standout player was the 18-year-old sensation Ferran Torres; could he be the next Ronaldo? It's worth mentioning that Spain set a new single-game scoring record in their World Cup history.

In this game, Spain completely dominated their opponent, completing over 1,000 passes, while Costa Rica embarrassingly didn't manage a single shot on goal. The 18-year-old Spanish prodigy shone in the match, not only scoring a goal and becoming Spain's youngest-ever World Cup scorer but also leading Spain in the attack multiple times. After the game, he was hailed as one of the best and youngest players in the tournament. Spain started their show right from the beginning, with goals from Olmo, Asensio, and Ferran in the first half, taking a three-goal lead over Costa Rica. In the second half, Ferran had another outstanding performance, and the new Golden Boy Award winner, Gavi, scored. Soler and Morata also found the net. In the end, Spain swept their opponent with a 7-0 victory, getting off to a great start.

The biggest surprise was probably Germany losing to Japan; no one expected that outcome.
