Ron first got married in 1966 and had three children with his first wife, Margaret. This marriage only lasted for 2 years. In 1973, he married his second wife, Janet, but it didn't last long either. As of 2004, he had been through a total of 8 marriages and had 8 children. Four years ago, he was looking forward to his 9th marriage, but on the eve of the wedding, he had a feeling that something was not right and decided to call off the ceremony!

Ron's longest marriage lasted for 13 years, and the shortest one was only 10 months. After divorcing his last wife, he remained single but had many female companions by his side. The reason Ron kept pursuing love was because of childhood emotional trauma, which left him longing for companionship to feel secure. In 2014, Ron even published his autobiography, 'Lord of The Weddings,' and is currently working on his second book, 'The Wife Collector.'

By now, you might envy or even resent him, but in reality, Ron feels that all his wives over the years have left him exhausted. Divorce has taken a toll on his physical and mental health, and he has paid a significant price for it. Today, Ron suffers from a range of illnesses, including Parkinson's disease, dementia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and macular degeneration. He relies on a wheelchair and is cared for by a nursing team that visits him three times a day.

Ron no longer wishes to find another partner, and most of his days are now confined to his apartment. He hopes to move to a retirement home on the Isle of Wight in the UK for a fresh start, which is closer to his children. I must say I admire his courage; despite the failures he experienced earlier, he never lost faith in love but kept hoping and trying!"
