Google selectively grants access to Gemini AI

Financial news: Google has granted partial access to its upcoming conversational AI product. Google expects to offer the online portal Gemini through Google Cloud Vertex AI, providing developers with access to AI models and other tools.

Google initially released Gemini in May 2023. Although the model is still in training, it claims to have multi-modal capabilities, meaning Gemini can handle various types of inputs. Google also provides AI services to consumers through Bard, an AI chatbot primarily used for generating written content. The company's currently available AI model, PaLM2, forms the foundation for Bard and certain other services.
