With a heavy heart, Messi's departure from Paris Saint-Germain was expected, and Barcelona's desire to bring him back was well-known. However, practical considerations prevented Barcelona from re-signing Messi. The club was facing financial difficulties, and Messi's salary was exorbitant, to the extent that even if Messi was willing to take a pay cut, Barcelona couldn't afford it. Therefore, Barcelona ultimately had to give up on bringing Messi back, and Messi announced his move to the United States to join Miami International.
