India and Australia will square off about 3 weeks before the CWC 2023 kick-off. Is the series really a necessity before the World Cup? Tell us what you feel?

Absolutely not!
Australia and India squaring before the World Cup won’t do any favors to either of the squads. More because the teams would be protective to play main players ahead of the tournament, fearing injuries and this won’t help both the teams in any case.

Utter nonsense of a tournament.
We would be seeing India vs. Australia in the 2nd week of October, squaring off against each other in Chennai. There was absolutely no need for one more 3 match series before the main World Cup, which is apparently 2 weeks away from now.

I feel it should not have happened.
Even if both India and Australia consider the tournament to be a warm-up series, it still doesn’t solve any problem. Instead, the main players will opt out for the first two matches and just play one final match. This is pointless, considering the World Cup is on the brink.
