"Many people are aware that slot machines and other casino games are easily accessible online nowadays, and it seems like anyone can play for free. In fact, both online and offline casinos are subject to the same legal regulations, which depend on each country's gambling laws and age restrictions. Today, I'll provide information about the legal gambling ages in various Asian countries.

Macau – 21 and above: Gambling in Macau, known as the ""Gambling Capital of the World,"" is restricted to individuals aged 21 and above. However, for tourists, the minimum age to enter a casino is 18. Before visiting Macau, it's essential to familiarize yourself with local customs, especially regarding appropriate attire and game rules.

Philippines – 18/21 and above: Gambling in the Philippines has two age restrictions. Customers must be at least 21 years old to enter casinos. However, for other forms of gambling, such as lotteries, individuals must be at least 18.

South Korea – 19: South Korea has unique gambling regulations compared to other countries worldwide. In South Korea, websites, lotteries, horse racing, bicycle racing, and boat racing are all legal forms of gambling. However, South Koreans accessing any of the 23 casinos in the country is illegal. Visitors from other countries are allowed to gamble in land-based casinos, provided they are at least 19.

Japan – 20: Pachinko, invented in Japan during World War II, has become one of the most popular and profitable forms of entertainment in the country. Due to its importance to Japanese history and culture, pachinko remains legal in Japan. The legal gambling age in Japan is 20. As gambling is generally discouraged for those under 18, minors are not encouraged to participate. However, they can engage in authorized forms of gambling, such as horse racing and powerboat racing, regulated by the government.

Singapore – 18/21: Similar to the Philippines, Singapore has age restrictions that differ between casino gambling and other forms of gambling. Casino participants must be at least 21, while individuals aged 18 and above can participate in activities like lotteries, sports betting, and horse racing.

Thailand – 20: Thailand permits only two types of casinos: state-sponsored lotteries and horse race betting. The minimum age for legal gambling in Asia, including lotteries, is 20.

These legal gambling ages can vary widely across different countries, so it's crucial to be aware of and abide by the local regulations when engaging in any form of gambling."

I don't think any country allows those under 18. Actually, it's probably more appropriate to have a minimum age of 21 or older.

It seems that the legal gambling age is generally 18 and above in most countries, which corresponds to adulthood. Minors are indeed protected by the regulations in place in each country.

Every time I go to a casino, I'm also required to show my ID.
