Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are two of the most celebrated cricketers in India along with the legendary God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar. But why do people respect Dhoni more than Kohli? Most cricket fans love MS Dhoni and whatever action he takes, people react positively for the same whereas there are many trollers for Virat Kohli.

I think the reason why Dhoni gets more respect is because he has won three ICC trophies for India and five IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings while Kohli has not been able to win any trophy under his leadership.

I think real cricket fans respect Dhoni and Kohli equally. There is no sense of competition between them. They really respect each other and Kohli has said that “Dhoni will always be my captain”. I think it's the fake fans who have made this image of one getting more respect than another.

This is definitely because of how cool Dhoni is on the cricket field. While Kohli is a bit of an aggressive and heated player on the ground, Dhoni remains calm and wins games by his intelligence and cleverness. Although, I respect both of them equally.
